Requirements For International Passport Application
The following are the things you need to apply for an international passport online in Nigeria.
For Those Born in Nigeria
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Completed online application form
- 2 recent passport-sized photos with a white background and having a dimension of 600×800 pixels
- Acknowledgement Slip: Generated after successfully submitting the application online.
- Evidence of payment slip: This serves as a proof of payment for the passport application.
- Guarantor’s form: This form must be sworn to before a commissioner of Oaths/Magistrate/High Court Judge. The guarantor must also attach a photocopy of their Nigerian passport data page, driving license, or National Identity Card.
For minors
- Birth Certificate from Nigerian Populations Commission. It can now be applied online
- Statutory declaration of Age
- Clean copy of parent’s passport data page.
Adults
- State of Origin Certificate
- Birth Certificate: People born from 1994 upwards will be required to present this certificate.
- Age Declaration: Those born from 1994 upwards who don’t have a birth certificate will be required to submit the age declaration. They will also attach one passport-sized photograph endorsed by a Commissioner for Oaths.
- Marriage certificate: If the applicant is married.
Applicants with dual nationality:
- You need to upload the data page of your non-Nigerian passport.
For Citizenship By Naturalization
- Foreigners who wants to nationalize in Nigeria will obtain a certificate of Naturalization duly issued by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
